Hungerford and Chisbury Wood (22 miles, Circular)
Details
Please RSVP at our website (green button) and not here, thanks!
Join us as we explore the beautiful and quiet West Berkshire and Wiltshire countryside south of Hungerford. From Hungerford, we head south through fields and woods to our picnic lunch stop before Great Bedywn, then we will stop for a drink in the local pub. We head north through the little village of Chisbury, across fields and through more woodland and up to the River Kennet. From here we have the option for a second drink stop at Chilton Foliat. We finish the walk into Hungerford along the River Dun.
Please remember to bring plenty of water as the only places to fill up are at the pubs we visit and the village shop in Great Bedwyn, as almost all of this walk is in the countryside. If you are using a sat nav to get to the station you need to take Park St, then Station Road and not Everland Road as this is a one-way street out of Tesco car park. Parking charges apply
We've provided an automated estimate of the end time and this will be affected by many factors - please only use as a guide. The description above may also have specific notes on ending details.
