ASIAN TEA HOUSE WELCOMES US BACK
Details
Hello members:
I am happy to announce that we have just scheduled another dinner at the Asian Tea House. Our hosts Kenny and his lovely wife, Yana, always prepare the best program for us.
This event will start with a cocktail hour at 6 PM and I urge any new members or even older members who have yet to attend a meet up to come to this one. The drink specials are a lot of fun, and the food is fantastic. You will get a chance to meet some of the long-standing members and even some of your fellow beginners. The last time we were here we had almost as many newbies as we did long established members. Please join us.
The hot and sour soup featured at the Asian Tea House is the best I have ever had. Former members of our group who have left town often come back and stop for a taste of the old days.
The Tea House will provide some very nice and, sometimes unusual, appetizers. The Gyoza with a fine sauce are usually among their presentations.
Then sit back and relax as plates and plates of sushi, specialty rolls, and sashimi come to each table. Diners who are hungry when they leave haven’t been paying attention. The rest of us will be cleaning the plates. Kenny and Yana will keep the food coming until we raise the white flag of surrender.
This event is one of the most requested events from any of our members who have been here before.
Now here's the problem. A number of members signed up and didn't show up at a recent visit here, causing the restaurant to waste a lot of delicious sushi. I am going to try something new to see if we can solve this problem. If you RSVP and fail to attend without changing your RSVP, you will have a choice of paying the restaurant for your failure to attend or you will leave our group. I can't tell you how much even one loss affects a restaurant. They give us discounts and run on a tight margin. If they lose money, why would they want us back. This is why your attention to RSVP's is so important
All of this will cost just $40.00, tax and tip included.
You will be treated like royalty. This is one of the places that I often add an extra tip to the bill.
Attendance is limited to 40 members. If an emergency arises after the RSVPs are closed, please call me at 518-858-5558 and I will try to find a substitute. If you call early enough to have the restaurant prepare less food, it's a win. Calling just before the event starts won't work.
Thank you all for being a part of our fabulous meet up group. I look forward to seeing 40 of you at this meet up.
Cordially,
Ed Haddad
