Fourth Sunday - Local Garden Share - MedFly Notice

For Fourth Sunday this month we are having our Garden Share at Charles Street Gardens in Sunnyvale.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - I am still sad to report there is a Mediterranean Fruit Fly Quarantine in Santa Clara County. The webpage was updated on 10/17/25 so please follow this link, and scroll down the page to Access the CDFA’s Interactive Quarantine Map to search by your address. https://ag.santaclaracounty.gov/mediterranean-fruit-fly-quarantine If you are growing in the Quarantine zone, please do not bring any fruits or vegetables, but PLEASE bring yourself!!!
You are invited to join us at the picnic tables to celebrate our monthly Local Garden Share event from 11a - 12noon. We have been gathering together monthly since July 2011!

Come let your fellow gardeners know what you are planting in your seasonal gardens, how you are tending your soil and what you are doing to conserve water. Please bring whatever you have extra from your garden to share, and even if you don’t please come and share yourself.

IMPORTANT Fyi - Mediterranean Fruit Fly Host List
All fruit (including nuts and berries), vegetables (other than leafy types grown above ground), and the
fruiting bodies of the plants listed herein. All of these items (along with soil under or near plants bearing these
items) that are infested or are exposed to infestation by Mediterranean fruit fly are declared a public nuisance.
Unless proven otherwise, all cultivars, varieties, and hybrids of the plant species listed herein are considered
suitable hosts of Ceratitis capitata
