Sustainable Sandhills hosts events that empower residents in our communities to live more sustainably, connect with nature and support projects that create a healthier, cleaner, more vibrant place to call home.

Join Sustainable Sandhills for a 1 mile hike through the beautiful and historic Long Valley Farm at Carvers Creek State Park. Our guide will lead participants on a trek down the Cypress Point Trail and chat about the region's flora, fauna, geology, history and more.
Following the hike, we'll conduct a litter sweep of the park's gateway road. Supplies including safety vests, litter grabbers, gloves and trash bags will be provided. (Participation is optional.)
This event is free and open to the public and recommended for ages 8 and up. Leashed, well mannered dogs are welcome!
The trail is sandy and relatively flat with some areas of deep sand. There are some water features on this hike.

Join Sustainable Sandhills for a 1.5 mile hike through the beautiful longleaf pine forests of Cumberland County. Our guide will lead participants on a trek down the Wiregrass Loop Trail and chat about the region's flora, fauna, geology, history and more.
This event is free and open to the public and recommended for ages 8 and up.
The trail is sandy and relatively flat with some areas of exposed roots and rocks.
