We havent done this one in a while so I thought it was a good time to revisit the Byways Loop through RSF... We will start out on the coast to Solana Beach. The A & B groups will continue on to some challenges in Rancho Santa Fe, while all three groups will finish up by taking one of my favorite by-ways through Encinitas.

A&B Groups

Between the flat coastal start and end to this route, the middle has some hilly heft (but it's no sufferfest, not to worry!). There are no steep climbs, and nothing too long, although a few will definitely challenge you. Great hilly training ride with pretty surroundings to distract you!

C Group

This route involves shorter hill challenges and remains closer to the coast. Overlaps the A&B route for the first 15 miles and last 10 miles.

NOTES: Please bring an extra tube, CO2 cartridge or hand pump, and enough fluid and snacks (suggestion: two bottles minimum for the longer rides, and two snacks). Helmets are always required, and we obey all traffic laws.

Our rides are no drop, and we make every effort to find the right group for you. There are three group leaders, with the following general average speed guidelines on mixed terrain:

A Group: 16-18 mph

B Group: 14-16 mph

C Group: 12-14 mph
