Another summerly weekend to stick to the coast. We will be meeting up again at the Torrey Pines Gliderport in La Jolla (assembling at the paved cul-de-lac at the end of Torrey Pines Scenic Dr before the gliderport entrance) and heading south through Mission Bay into Point Loma.

Point Loma is a gorgeous destination. We had a fabulous time last time we did this ride and would love to see many of you join us. For those of you who feel like 40 miles might be on the long side, it is a coastal route with minimal hills and the views make it very much worth it.

Cabrillo National Monument

The plan is to ride all the way to the end of the point through Cabrillo National Monument. Since this is part of the National Park Service, there is a fee - previous times we generally paid less than what we should, but the regular price is $3 per 4 bikes (and pass is good for 7 days). If you have a National Parks pass or a Cabrillo Annual Pass, please bring it along. Those who are active military should be free (although you may need to check the National Park site to be sure).

I think you'll find Pt Loma Nazarene University worth detouring into!
