About us
Because books, coffee (or smoothies or tea), and friends are great, but having them all together is awesome!
The books we read are chosen by voting. We'll read both fiction and non-fiction and discuss them in English (and also in Spanish in the first Saturday group). Join us!
There are now four meetings a month. You are free to join as many of the meetings as you wish, if places are available. We charge a fee of €1 per meeting, collected at the meeting.

Classic Literature Group — September meetup
Wereldcafe.coop, Joris Helleputtaplein 2, Leuven, BEWelcome to the Classic Literature Book Club!
We will be discussing EAST OF EDEN by John Steinbeck. New members are welcome as well! Participation fee is €1.
About the book club:
In this group, we’ll be focusing on classical literature – and no, not old, dusty stories – but timeless classics that are still regarded as great works today!That’s why books may be chosen based on the following guidelines:
- books published before 1960
- books that appear on a ‘classics list’, such as: The Guardian list, The Modern Library, NYT Top 100 best novels , Penguin 100 must-read classics
At the end of every meeting, you can nominate a book according to these main guidelines.
