Today, markets move to where the value is—without hesitation, mercy, or guilt. To survive, enterprises must deliver continuous value in the form of products and experiences that engage and delight customers. Flow is characterized by a smooth transition of work through the entire value stream with a minimum of handoffs, delays, and rework. In SAFe, flow is present when teams, trains, and the portfolio can quickly, continuously, and efficiently deliver quality products and services from trigger to value. Indeed, delivering a continuous flow of value to customers in the ‘shortest sustainable lead time’ is the central theme of SAFe.

Join ***SAFe Fellow and Chief Methodologist Andrew Sales,*** and ***Solidify CTO and @Scale PM Mathias Olausson***, as they discuss how to measure and improve flow at Scale with SAFe and @Scale, a SAFe extension for Azure DevOps. In this session, you will learn how to use SAFe's six flow metrics to successfully measure flow and how to apply the brand-new SAFe 6.0 flow accelerators to improve value delivery at every level of the enterprise. This session will also demonstrate how Azure DevOps and @Scale provides an integrated solution to flow, with support for the flow metrics and the ability to visualize and identify where the flow can be improved. Additionally, you will learn how @Scale supports critical SAFe practices such as WSJF, PI planning, and managing PI Objectives, all of which help to provide the transparency needed to ensure successful value delivery.
