This three-day open-air festival celebrates the rich Indonesian, Indo, Moluccan and Javanese heritage with an exciting mix of authentic cuisine, tropical snacks, live performances, cultural entertainment, market stalls and a vibrant festival atmosphere. Everyone is responsible for purchasing their own ticket through the official ticket shop.

- 📍 We'll meet at the entrance to Van Tuyllpark at 16:00 before heading into the festival together.
- 🍛 Explore the many food stalls featuring Indonesian and Indo specialties.
- 🎶 Enjoy live music, cultural performances, shopping, and the lively atmosphere.
- 🚶 You're welcome to explore at your own pace, but we'll regroup throughout the afternoon and evening for food and drinks.
Whether you're already a fan of Indonesian cuisine or looking to discover it for the first time, this is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy delicious food, experience a vibrant cultural festival, and meet fellow food lovers in a relaxed setting.

⚔️ Step Back in Time – Historisch Zoetermeer 2026 🏰
Centraal Park Zoetermeer, Markt, Zoetermeer, NLFor one weekend, the centre of Zoetermeer is travelling back in time! Join us on Sunday, 27 September as we explore Festival Historisch Zoetermeer together.

Every year, Historisch Zoetermeer brings centuries of history to life with a colourful mix of knights, historical encampments, live music, markets, demonstrations and performances.⚔️ Knights, battles & medieval adventures
One of the highlights is the spectacular Knights of Camelot tournament, featuring horseback riding and medieval combat in the festival arena.
Around the festival grounds, different groups recreate aspects of life from centuries past, and there are historical activities and demonstrations to discover throughout the day.🧙 History meets fantasy
This isn't just a serious history lesson!
We can wander around the historical and fantasy market, browse unusual stalls and see everything from handmade crafts and jewellery to medieval clothing, fantasy items, leatherwork and other curiosities.
Expect plenty of costumes and an atmosphere somewhere between a historical reenactment, medieval fair and fantasy festival.🎶 Live music & entertainment
Throughout the day there will also be live music, performances and entertainment, alongside the larger historical shows.
There’s no need to follow a strict programme. We can simply wander around together, watch whatever catches our attention and see where the afternoon takes us.🍖 And yes, there will be food...
Exploring the Middle Ages requires provisions.
There will be various food and drink stalls around the festival, so we can grab something along the way while exploring.
Food isn't the main focus of this meetup, though. The idea is simply to have a fun and unusual day out together and enjoy everything the festival has to offer.🚆 Getting there

We'll meet at 13:00 and explore the festival together.
There is no strict schedule. We can wander through the market, watch the knights, listen to some music, grab something to eat or drink, and join whatever activities look interesting.
You definitely don't need to know anything about history to join. Come along if you enjoy festivals, medieval or fantasy themes, unusual days out, or simply want to meet some new people.
And if you happen to own a medieval outfit, cloak, Viking tunic or suspiciously elaborate wizard costume... this may finally be its moment. 🧙⚔️👉 More information:
