Get ready to explore Sydney's best small bars in Surry Hills with a fun group of travellers and locals. Every Saturday, we hit the town on a bar tour that is specially designed for singles and solos (but non-solos, e.g., couples and friends are also welcome). Perfect for people new to Sydney and locals who want a fun and unique night out.

Over 3.5 hrs, you'll visit some of Surry Hill's best small bars, and finish at a place where the tequila shots are delicious. We stop for drinks at 3 or 4 different bars, with the first drink (beer or wine) included.

As we explore, you'll hear stories of local heroes & villains, crazy but true history and learn a bit about Australian slang and humour too.

Good drinks, great bars, fun times & new friends from all over the world - this is your ticket to the best night out in Sydney!

Not everyone who attends is single or a solo, but on a Saturday night, normally more than half of our group are. There may also be couples and groups of friends joining. Importantly, this is not a lame "speed-dating" event - just a safe way to explore Sydney's nightlife while meeting other people, including other singles.

Note this isn't a "backpacker pub crawl" with hundreds of people - we go to quality small bars that locals drink at (no sticky floors and no cheap shots). The maximum group size is 12 people so it is perfect for solo travellers and people new to Sydney. The average age of guests is from mid-20s to mid-40s, but everyone over 18 is welcome.

Your tour starts outside Paddy's Markets and the start of Dixon St mall. You'll get a run-down on Chinatown's early history and development, before heading off to explore the neighbourhood.

You'll sample a range of snacks from some of Chinatown's best restaurants, with a minimum of 4 food stops included. All snacks are street foods that represent different parts of China and are designed to be eaten on the move. Vegetarians and vegans are sorted too.

This tour has a strong focus on uncovering Sydney's long connection with China, and the contributions Chinese-Australians have made to the community. You'll learn more in this tour about Australia's Chinese community than you could imagine, and "pub trivia" style games will keep it interactive and fun.
