The Southwest Photo Club was founded in 2006 to promote photography education in a fun and amiable atmosphere. The Club is centered in Littleton, Colorado, although anyone can join. We have monthly meetings and events featuring highly-regarded photographers who present to our club members on specific topics of interest.
We encourage members to share their photos, not for competition but to help each other learn and grow as photographers. Each month, a photo assignment challenges our members to take images of a specific subject, topic, or something to stretch their photographic talents. The images are displayed and shared at our monthly meetings.
You can join for individual meetings via Meetup, but we’d really like to have you as a full member. Learn more about the Club at our website.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Our July presentation is hosted by Glen Clark, a team member with Bay Photo Lab, a trusted partner for photographers, artists, and creatives. Glen will provide an overview of Bay Photo’s print services. Describe the different print mediums (e.g., C-Print, Fine Art, Metal, Canvas, Acrylic ) and present ideas on which one may be perfect for your next print project. Glen will talk about the process of working with Bay Photo and how best to submit your images for success, focusing on getting the best results from your screen to the final print.SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Glen A. Clark, Cr. Photog., F/S-PPC
Glen has been deeply involved in the professional photographic industry, including Sales and Events Manager for Bay Photo and as a PPA National Industry Advisory Committee member for 24 years.Glen’s background and professional experience are focused on marketing and sales within and for professional photography, imaging, and communications. Glen has worked as a commercial and portrait / wedding photographer/illustrator, studio manager, and supplier's rep. Glen has also worked as a writer and editor for a national quarterly photographic publication and compiled a book of Award Winning Portraits of Children.
The Professional Photographers of California has recognized Glen for “Outstanding service and contributions to professional photography.” Presenting Glen and his wife with their “Corporate Vendor of the Year Award” and, most recently, with their prestigious Evans-Kingham Award for “lifetime service to the photography industry.”
Glen has a Strategic Marketing Certificate from the Weatherhead School of Business (Case Western Reserve University) and is a graduate from De Anza College of Cupertino, California, with degrees in both Photography and Cinematography. Glen has earned a Photographic Craftsman's Degree from The Professional Photographers of America (PPA).

There are several opportunities in the morning for street photography. Then at noon there is a burro race. At 1:00 the Vintage Baseball game begins.
This should be an fun filled day with loads of opportunities for action shots, street photography, details of old buildings... and much more.

The parade begins at 10:00 am on Saturday. There will be plenty of options for street photography. For those who wish to, we will go to lunch.
Since parking is always a challenge in Golden - they have setup satellite parking lots for this event.
I will park away from other vehicles and raise the hatch of my car. It's a 2017 Toyota RAV4, a burgundy/brownish color.
Drive to a satellite lot and take the FREE SHUTTLE. Park conveniently and free of charge at the Jefferson County Human Services building, (900 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden, 80401) (MAP) and hop on the free, dedicated shuttle right to the entrance of the event. Shuttles run continuously for the duration of the event.

For those interested, Eric Hagemann is offering both a pre- and post-meeting Zoom session to build your familiarity with the features of smartphone cameras and the tools available for processing captured images. Each session does require registration. The examples in the session will be Apple/iPhone-based but also applicable to Android users.
