Join SW Photo Club at 6:15 pm on June 13, 2024, for a virtual presentation by Marc Morris on How he Maps an Image for Optimal Creativity (in the context of the Cussler Museum).
JUNE 2024 PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Marc Morris takes us through the steps he takes in concept, visualization, application, and execution as he works his way through a day at the Cussler Museum, photographing Cussler's car collection in and around the museum's environment. He'll show how mapping a subject becomes a personal journey and can lead to photos that satisfy and may even surprise.
JUNE 2024 SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY:
A 27-year veteran of the photo imaging industry, Marc started as a custom print tech, learning color science, printing, and lab management before I ever owned a camera. His professional photography career has veered (careened?) from high-end jewelry to the Winter X Games. After running camera stores and labs in Colorado and Wyoming, Marc has been in the field in both sales and technical capacity since 2008, working for Olympus and Sony before finally joining forces with Tamron Lenses in 2015. Favorite oddball photographic achievement: he was the first person in the world to capture a panoramic image of the New York City skyline with a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. Some favorite photographers are Baron Wolman, Jerry Uelsmann, Carsten Peter, and Anne Day.
