SydAR is Sydney's meetup group for anyone interested in the constantly expanding and evolving area of Augmented Reality (Spatial Computing, Mixed Reality, XR, the Real World Metaverse... whatever name you like best!). If you're keen on smart glasses, AR headsets, Instagram/Snapchat/TikTok lenses, holograms, AR mobile games... you've come to the right place.
Whether you're a tech enthusiast, developer, designer, or simply curious about the latest trends in AR, we've set this group up to connect with fellow AR enthusiasts, share ideas, experiences, and stay updated on the latest advancements in this growing field.

Most sports wearables today are just accessories for your phone. At Minimis, they've designed the world’s first standalone AR smart glasses engineered right here in Sydney to replace the bike computer and the smartwatch. They'll be giving a high-speed look at the mechanical design and manufacturing journey of Prototype 5, and how they're building hardware to liberate athletes from their screens.Agenda:
