Talks

• Alex Cornelio – How to send an email to 10+ million customers – We recently had the task of sending existing customers (given a certain criteria) an email letting them know we updated our privacy policy.
  The tech stack involved 2 micro services that both used Django, K8s, Celery (Redis backend) and Postgres. The task was given to the engineering team at the end of the year - consider how many engineers will be on holidays.
• Iqbal Bhatti – Property Based Testing – A quick introduction about property based testing and why we need it. We'll come up with some simple tests and throw it at some difficult problems to see if it delivers on its promise of catching bugs or determining the inherent quality of different implementations of things. We'll also discuss how we can use it in our django code bases and what these tests could look like.
• Erfan Paksima – Speeding up approvals in highly regulated industries by deploying Agentive Systems with Django – The talk will cover some of the mechanics of building a chat experience over Django Channels and then end up with the LLM architecture of using multiple expert AI agents that can collaborate with the user to capture the required entities needed to fill out an application.
