Central Coast Snorkel Safari

Central Coast snorkel Safari
Hi all. Lets head up and visit our closest northern neighbour, The Central Coast, and check out some new locations. We will try for four snorkels at four different spots.
First, and my personal favourite, Copacabana Beach. This is a very popular spot for surfers and snorkellers alike. But, unfortunately, those two pursuits don’t mix. So, if the surf is up and the surfers 🏄♀️ win out, we can take a drive to the lookout on the Headland, where you can see all the way back to Sydney. But, if It’s a calm day, we win🤿!!
'Copa' is a gorgeous spot to snorkel with her vast fields of green sea grasses, interesting drop offs and a wide variety of sea flora and fauna.
Next stop is The Haven at Terrigal. We will definitely be able to snorkel here as it is a protected Bay. Again, lots of interesting sea life. Plus giant bull rays and there is also a massive sunken anchor for those able to dive down and inspect it.
Next stop is Little Bay at Toowoon Bay. Again, another protected Bay. There are massive kelp beds to explore, just like a maze.
The last Snorkeling spot is Cabbage Tree Bay at Norah Head, another protected Bay. Let’s check it out and see what we can sea!
I think we should really try and squeeze every bit of life out of the day. So I thought we would pepper it with a few scenic visits along the way. I have outlined these in the itinerary. Feel free to join up for part or all of the day. I’ll keep my phone on hand between snorkels to keep those joining us during the day informed. James 0431 641 077.
Each of the snorkel spots has coffee and food outlets nearby. When we depart from Crackneck Lookout we will reassemble at Watkins Jetty, Long Jetty, for lunch. BYO lunch or there are a number of shops in the Long Jetty strip serving fish and chips, burgers, Thai, kebabs etc. Just grab some takeaway and meet us at the jetty. Pack water and snacks for the day or pick them up as you go along.
There are really no options for public transport on this adventure. So please organise with your fellow snorkellers by asking for and/or offering lifts on the message board below.
Hopefully it will be a gorgeous day with calm seas and clear skies. Looking forward to catching up with everyone as always.
