SYNC Suffolk (Formerly SYNCIpswich)

SYNC Suffolk is evolving into a county-wide community for technology, innovation, experimentation and the people helping to build what comes next.

Innovation does not always begin with a startup, a funding application or a polished business plan. It often begins with someone noticing a problem, testing an idea, learning something new or finding a better way to do something.

Across Suffolk, this work is already happening inside businesses, industrial estates, schools, colleges, homes, workshops, community organisations and technical teams. Much of it remains disconnected or difficult to see.

SYNC Suffolk aims to bring those people and ideas together.
The community will create opportunities for developers, businesses, educators, students, creatives, founders and problem-solvers to:

Share what they are working on
Explore emerging technology
Identify problems and opportunities
Demonstrate experiments and early ideas
Learn from projects that worked—and those that did not
Find collaborators, skills and support
Connect younger people with industry and community
Explore what Suffolk will need next

We want to create a space to explore what innovation means for Suffolk and how the county can move from where it is today towards the skills, businesses and communities it will need in the future.

Our wider aim through EMPOWERUS is to help solve problems for Suffolk people using Suffolk knowledge, skills and resources wherever possible.
