A shamanic journey to reconnect with your roots, honor your ancestors, and remember the wisdom carried through generations.

Beyond Halloween: Rediscovering Samhain

Every autumn, we celebrate Halloween with pumpkins, costumes, and the mysteries of the unseen. Yet beneath these familiar traditions lies an older seasonal celebration: Samhain, an ancient Celtic festival marking the transition into the darker half of the year.
Traditionally observed around October 31st and November 1st, Samhain was a time to honor the ancestors, reflect on the cycle of life and death, and acknowledge the mysteries that exist beyond the everyday world. In modern spiritual traditions, this season is often regarded as a time when the veil between the worlds grows thin, offering a meaningful opportunity to connect with those who came before us.

For many of us living in the United States, our family roots reach back to Europe, carrying ancestral stories, traditions, and connections that may have been forgotten or left unexplored.

This Samhain, let us look beyond the costumes and festivities and reconnect with the deeper meaning of this season. Through a guided shamanic drumming journey, sound bath, and ancestral honoring, we will create space to explore our roots, listen inwardly, and pay tribute to the generations that made our lives possible.

Whether you feel a strong connection to your ancestry or are simply curious to explore it, you are warmly invited to join this experience.

What to Expect:

1. ROOT BACK — Guided Ancestral Journey

Travel inward through the steady rhythm of the shamanic drum and enter a meditative trance state. In this guided journey, you will be invited to explore your ancestral roots and connect with an ancestral guide who may offer wisdom, insight, comfort, or a new perspective on your path.

You do not need to know your family history or have previous experience with shamanic journeying. Ancestral connection can be explored through imagery, sensations, emotions, sounds, or whatever unfolds naturally for you. There is no need to force an experience or interpret everything you encounter.

2. FEEL IT — Shamanic Sound Bath

Let sound carry you beyond words and into the felt experience of connection.

Through the resonant pulse of drums, rattles, voice, and other instruments, you will be invited to relax deeply and immerse yourself in a landscape of vibration. The sounds draw inspiration from ancient traditions and the natural world, creating space to feel, reflect, and connect with the lands and cultures woven into your heritage.

3. HONOR IT — Ancestor Honoring

Samhain is also a time to remember and honor those who came before us.

Together, we will create a small ritual of remembrance inspired by the ancestral traditions associated with this season. An altar will be available as a place to leave an offering for your ancestors. This may be the last piece of food from your plate, a fruit, or a personal item that carries meaning for you.

This simple act is an invitation to express gratitude, acknowledge your lineage, and give space to the lives and stories that helped shape your own. You may honor a particular loved one, generations whose names are no longer known, or the wider web of ancestry from which you come.

There is no right or wrong way to participate. Your offering can be deeply personal, and you are welcome to observe quietly if that feels more comfortable.

**Fruit will be provided for offerings**, and you are welcome to bring a small personal item if you wish.
