A Crypto Party is a gathering to learn and discuss computer Cryptographic tools, privacy, first amendment rights, and responsible legal methods of using these tools. This is an "Explain it like I'm 5 years old" (ELI5) level course.
The motivation is to empower regular people to protect their private data in an era of widespread surveillance. If you want to go further than just info, bring a functional laptop.
Everyone is welcome to come and learn about these free useful tools to help you ensure your privacy and first amendment rights.
People encouraged to go:
- Average Joes!
- Journalists, CPAs, Lawyers,
and other professions where privacy is a major concern
- College Students
- Knowledgeable folks willing to help
- Human Beings.
**NOTE**: This Crypto Party will focus on teaching attendees some tips and tricks for web application penetration testing. I highly recommend bringing a laptop to the workshop in order to follow along.
