Put your thinking caps on! A conversation about deep questions.
Details
We have a set of very meaty questions which I hope you will ponder in anticipation of tonight's Table Conversations. I believe that they are deserving of your consideration. I hope that you'll agree.
- Do you know who you would call if something significant but not catastrophic were to happen that you couldn't handle by yourself? Are you comfortable with your answer? Why or why not?
- On average this week, how many of your waking hours per day were comprised of activities which were COMPLETELY yours to decide? Are you content with this number? Why or why not?
- How many people can enter your home without an appointment, payment or invitation? Are you comfortable with your answer? Why or why not?
- Whose life would HAVE TO change if you were to suddenly disappear for 30 days without any notice or warning? You're not dead, just suddenly and inexplicably gone - so that others might think and act like you were dead. Have you considered this possibility? Have you made any plans related to this possibility?
- If everything fell apart for you financially, personally and/or practically tonight, where would you go tomorrow? Are you comfortable with your answer? Why or why not?
- If "the big one" hit tonight, how ready are you? Assuming that you weren't injured, do you think that you would survive? Why or why not?
- How many people could turn to YOU if everything fell apart for them knowing that you would help them without hesitation?
- Do you consider yourself to be ready to die? Why or why not?
- What is the biggest single source of gratitude in your life? Why?
- Have you ever felt that life has no real meaning? When was that? Has that feeling improved?
- You know (somehow) that you have exactly 1 week to live. How would you spend it? Why?
- Do you think that anyone knows who you REALLY are? How comfortable are you with your answer?
- You have the ability (somehow) to change one event in your life. What would it be and why?
- Is your life now the way that you thought it would be like when you were a 16? Why or why not?
- Have you ever felt that you were living your life for someone else? Why or why not?
- Somehow, you have the ability to send one sentence to yourself at 18 from yourself today, with certainty that your 18 year old self will understand that it's from you. What would that one sentence be? Why?
- Have you ever felt truly loved? Why or why not?
- Have you ever truly loved someone else? Why or why not?
- Is it possible to truly understand someone else? Why or why not?
- What makes you feel the most connected to someone else? Why?
