Talking Taboos 20: Defining Awkward

Details
The original motivating force behind talking taboos was to give strangers the opportunity to talk openly about uncomfortable things. To date we've been lingering on friendly philosophical discussion, but consistent participant feedback remains: "less philosophy, more taboo!". So I’m trying something new. This time we are going to base our conversation on (cue drumroll)… an anonymised survey.
What makes you nervous about others? How do you deal with awkwardness in social situations? Is there some life event you would like to discuss with others but are afraid to?
All this and more will provide the fodder for the evening’s discussion. The survey will open on 25 September (I’ll send a reminder and there will also be time to fill it out at the start of the event). You can fill out the survey and not attend, you can attend and not fill out the survey, anything goes! Results will be shared at/after the event when I’m sure that enough people have participated to make the anonymity a sure thing.
More information and preview of the survey can be found here:

(PS: we have a new venue! The lovely people at Metis bookshop have offered to host us, and as a small thank you a 3€ donation will be collected at the door which will go directly to them to help cover staffing expenses for the evening. If this is more than you can afford/will keep you from attending, please get in touch and we'll sort something out.)
