Tacoma Arts and Crafts Group

This meetup is our monthly general meeting, and it's a good meeting to get to know us.

We start with announcements about our group and upcoming events; then we share what we have been working on (which is not required), and finish with potluck snacks and chatting.

We always have a Share Your Stash Table, so you bring any extra stuff you've collected to give away (but remember to take it with you when you leave if
it's still there).

Optional Sharing of Artist Trading Cards (ATCs)
In addition, some of us exchange artist trading cards. These are small, flat (or nearly flat) works of art sized 2.5 x 3.5 inches, that can be in any medium and any style. If you would like to participate in this exchange, please bring TWO ATCs.

Optional Sharing of Blank Greeting Cards
We have some splendid card makers in our group, so there's also a greeting card exchange. If you would like to participate, please bring ONE card, and you'll receive a card in exchange. Leave the inside of the card blank and sign the back as the artist.

PLEASE be kind and update your RSVP if you are not able to attend. We sometimes have a waitlist, and it would allow someone to take your place and participate. Thank you.

This and many other TACG meetups and classes are offered as part of our membership dues benefits. You can participate in three events (events designated as open to non-members) before you decide to pay dues and become a member. Dues help pay expenses (such as rent and insurance) and they help to keep our workshop prices ridiculously low. Bring your sewing machine and a project, and let's sew together!

Our regular schedule is the first Monday of each month.
Monday Bees are at 3:30. (We used to start at 3:00; 3:30 is our new time!)

Although Sewing Bee doesn't offer demos or lessons, I've learned something new at each meeting. And what a joy it is to sew with friends.

TACG Cancelation Policy:

• Annual TACG Members - If you miss a session and do not cancel before the 48 hour window, you will still be responsible for all class fees.
• Community members who have not paid annual dues: you are welcome to attend up to three events, two paid. Because we have no way to contact people who have not officially joined TACG other than through Meet-up, our policy is as follows: If you have not paid one week prior to this class or event, we reserve the right to cancel your registration and remove you as an attendee. This allows us to open seats for others and respect the preparation needs of our instructors and facilitators. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
• How to pre-pay: You can pay with check, credit-card, or through Venmo. To pay with Venmo, please use the QR code in the photo gallery for this post. If you would like to pay by check or credit card, please reach out to our treasurer, Nadine at 253-777-6117. It can help to text first if your number is not yet recognized in her phone.

TACG is heading out for a summer field trip, and we’re bringing our creativity with us. Join us at Tinkertopia**, Tacoma’s beloved creative reuse shop filled with quirky treasures, rescued materials, and endless inspiration. We’ll be spending 90 minutes in their** Make & Take Tinker Space**, where all supplies are provided and imagination is the only requirement.**

A Tinkertopia staff member will be with us throughout the session to help spark ideas, offer guidance, and help you find just the right bits and bobs for your creation. Additional items from the shop will be available for purchase if something special catches your eye.

### Important Notes

• This session is for paid TACG members — it’s included as a perk of membership.
• The Tinker Space is a dry space (no paints).
• Photography is welcome.
• Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start right at 10:30.

### Parking Options

• Free parking at Tacoma Dome Station (424 E 25th St), then hop on the Tacoma Link — it runs every 12 minutes and is $2.00
• Limited street parking near Tinkertopia ($1.50 for 90 minutes).
