Marbling paper with shaving cream and food coloring

Would you like to add some marbled paper to your art paper stash?

It's fun and easy to make beautiful marbled paper using shaving cream as a bed and swirling in food coloring. This craft is a popular one to do with children, but why should they have all the fun? This is a great way to make an additional kind of paper for book covers, collage, ATCs, decoupage, and more. And when done by non-four-year-olds, the effects can be quite interesting.

What to bring:
A couple of old towels
Optional: an old cake pan (9" x 13")
Optional: smooth paper and/or smooth cardstock (not textured paper). (Colored paper is fine, by the way.)
