Hello tacowhands!

Shoutout to the organizers of the Swift TO conference that happened earlier this month – great job everyone! It was extremely well organized, with fantastic speakers. I'm already looking forward to the next instalment! Videos of the talks are available here: https://vimeo.com/showcase/swiftto-conf-2019 and conference photos are available here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/183435217@N05/sets/72157710432546731/

Our next tacow meetup is conveniently timed for September 10th, the day of the fall iPhone event. Be sure to attend so you can chat about all the new hotness announced that day.

We are still looking for lightning talks, so if you have a 5-15 minute demo/cool swift trick/TIL please reach out!

Meetup Info
🖥 Anluan O'Brien - Shared Code: Understanding Frameworks and Modules
Every day developers use CocoaPods, Carthage or other systems of integrating third party code into their own apps. This talk will explain what frameworks actually are and what happens when we include them.

🖥 Robin Senior - Shipping Industrial Strength Apps
Web and backend devs have been applying SRE (site reliability engineering) principles for years, allowing them to build, deploy, monitor, and maintain software quickly and reliably. How can mobile adopt some of these principles?

🍻After the talks we will retire to a nearby pub for libation and conversation!

🗺 Location
🚨New host alert! 🚨Loblaw Digital has offered to host us in their Liberty Village office at 40 Hanna Ave, Suite #500. I think this is our first time in LV, so I hope it attracts some of you west enders!

Presenting
Are you looking for a job but don't have much work experience? Giving a presentation at tacow is a great way to demonstrate your abilities and make connections in the community.

Interested in giving a lightning talk about a new learning or side project? Let me know! A full talk? Even better!!

Feedback and suggestions are always appreciated!

Cheers,
Robin
