Please text/whatsapp me if you intend to come at least a couple of hours before the class so that i can confirm to you the class is on, suitable for you and look out for you in case you have trouble finding it.

This is a free trial class for anyone interested in the fascinating art of Tai Chi Chuan, in a relaxed, open and friendly environment. The class is suitable for complete beginners.

We meet on the top floor of Chateau Bruyant, 14 Rue Des Buis. Please be on time or a bit early. Come in through the main entrance which should be open slightly before 7pm.

I have been teaching Tai Chi for 10 years in Geneva as part of the Master Ding Academy (www.wholeselfgeneva.com). Feel free to check out the website for all the detail you could need on what Tai Chi Chuan is about and how we do things!

I limit numbers to keep the quality of the class high, so please please please do attend if you sign up as there may have been someone else who would have liked to attend in your place – thanks!

Tai Chi Chuan is a holistic martial art seeking to use internal energy ('Chi') for good health, self-development and self-defence. To help realise the infamous soft power of internal energy, the initial training concentrates on slow, relaxed, flowing movement. This makes it adaptable to many levels of health and fitness. Through this inclusive approach, Tai Chi has become regarded the world over as a fun and effective way to strengthen mind, body and spirit.

Tai Chi is renowned as a stress-buster: a way to harmonise mind, body and spirit; rebuild core mental and physical strength; and learn a strong centered approach to life. Those busy with the daily pressures of work and home find that regular practice creates the balance, strength and robustness to enjoy the moment and relax within what seems to be an ever-more complex and demanding life. Stress causes your mind to race, your muscles to tense up and your body to issue its ‘fight or flight’ response, depressing your immune system. These effects increase the risk of accidents, physical injuries and disease. As a martial art that uses 'soft' to overcome 'hard' and gentleness to defeat aggression, Tai Chi naturally releases your stress leading to a happier, healthier life.

During the class we will do some Tai Chi meditation ("Chi Gung"), a little of the Tai Chi form and importantly I will try to give you the opportunity to FEEL Tai Chi.

Please be on time. Its best to wear loose fitting clothes and trainers. Most importantly bring an open mind and a smile.
