Writers Workshop #2, rescheduled

Rescheduled: We had a good meetup last time! Hans submitted some nature writing describing a hike in Borneo, and Risette had some comics about modern life in Taiwan. Next up Don and I will submit our writing. Mine is fiction, social and political satire very apropos of this year's wild events in the USA (though I started writing it three years ago), and Don's is a sci-fi short story about a mercenary rocket scientist, self-isolated for decades on a remote island in the Pacific, unaware of his declining mental state. A pearl diver briefly enters his remote island and teaches him the key to understanding his inner universe, leading him to a new way of confronting the man-made threats to humanity that he'd fought against most of his life.
