Meet & Greet One More Time BRUNCH - Station Diner
The Deluxe Station Diner is now under new management and has been renamed Station Diner. The employees and food are still the same. It is located in Newton Center in the old train station building that's right at the Newton Center T stop. It has the right balance of ambiance and good food/drinks, reasonably priced with a very comfortable feel to it; warm and friendly. We sit at the bar if we have a small group. We grab a table for a larger group. I'd classify the food as "comfort food". We've had the burgers, mac & cheese, curried chicken, meatloaf, chicken pot pie, and fish & chips. And of course they do breakfast anytime. Everything has tasted great and was reasonably priced. Several large municipal parking lots are nearby. Meters are free on Sunday and after 6:00 pm other days. MBTA: Green Line, “D” train, Newton Center stop. When you come up the stairs from the train tracks, you are on Union Street. The diner is inside the old brownstone Union Station. Bus #52 from Watertown Square (www.mbta.com for schedule and exact route). Driving: From the Mass Pike (east-bound): Take exit 17 and make your first right after the set of lights, onto Centre Street. Follow Centre Street approximately three miles through. Take a left onto Langley Road and park in the parking lot on the left or park any where on Langley Road. (There are many other different options to park around Newton Center). From the Mass Pike (west-bound): Take exit 17 and go straight off the ramp. After the ramp, you will go through two sets of lights. After the second set, turn left at the sign that says "Newton Centre/Boston." You will be making a 180-degree turn and should stay in the right lane. Take your first right after the 180-degree turn onto Centre Street. Follow Centre Street approximately three miles through. What we're about

We are a social club of people who just happen to be tall. We meet up and do all sorts of fun stuff together, aside from compare notes on "where to buy tall clothing/shoes".... :) In addition to hosting our local members at events, we also play host to other Tall Club members visiting the New England area. We host and participate in a wide range of activities, including: Cocktail hour at the Newton Marriott the First Friday of each month at 6pm, Monthly "meet and greet" events at other local pubs, Dancing & more dancing (we hold several dances every year), Wine-tasting (we have a group of "wino's" that attend the Boston Wine Expo every year!), Walking outings, Art exhibitions at the Museum of Fine Arts, and House parties and weekends away throughout New England - note that house parties and weekends are open to BBTC members and their guests; they are not public events. Please see our official Club Web-site at http://www.hubtall.org/ for more information.
