6:00 - 6:30 PM: Networking- Eat/Meet/Greet
6:30 - 8:00 PM: QA THE AGILE WAY main event
Our topic this month is: Mind Mapping in Software Testing – Ways to Make Testing More Fun!
Producing supportable quality software is an Art! It requires a talented, skilled group of people with a wide range of strengths and weakness to work together to make the end-product. A product a customer will choose every time and build loyalty with. Quality Assurance or Testing is sometimes seen as boring or just an afterthought. It can be tricky sometimes to get the Agile Team; ScrumMaster, PO, Developers, and Stakeholders to speak the same language.
Mind Mapping will help you gain another way of thinking and make testing more fun and engaging for the whole team to get involved. Quality can be gained quickly and easily before even one line of code has been written.
This session will cover:
-What and Why Mind Mapping
-How it can be used for brainstorming and testing (Requirement mapping, Test Cases/Strategy)
-Exploring two free Mind Mapping tools Xmind and Free Mind
-Good, Bad and Myths to Mind Mapping
This will be our first attempt at a virtual speaker and space has been limited to 25 people to allow for discovery and adjustment next sprint. 😊
Our mentor and speaker will be Nataraj Kanchyani. Nataraj is an engineering graduate and passionate QA engineer with 12 years of experience. Currently, he is working as QA Lead at Scientific Games Technologies in Bangalore India; a gaming company headquartered in Las Vegas.
As a speaker, Trainer and Guide Nataraj enjoys engaging the next upcoming generation of college graduates. He wants to ensure that graduates get a fair understanding of IT industry; providing guidance in much need areas such as soft skills, QA automation technologies (especially BDD framework) and the importance of manual testing over Automation validation. SoftwareTestinghelp.com has also published two of Nataraj’s articles on Poka-yoke in Testing and Mind mapping in Testing.
Food, beverage and Space for this meetup are made possible by our generous sponsor TEKsystems. www.teksystems.com
IMPORTANT! -- We take RSVPs very seriously! RSVP count for this session is limited to 25 people. The point is; if you RSVP to a meetup, please show up. If you RSVP and are unable to attend, please let us know beforehand.
