New Ideas from an Old Cyclist

Good morning fellow Cyclists,

A while back I learned that Paul Schlimme and Patrick Hodgson, as Organizers/Administrators of the Tampa Cycling Meetup Group pay out of their own pockets $30.00/month ($360/annually) so that we Members have free access to use the Meetup platform. This access allows all of us to participate in group rides, repair clinics, and other social events.

Due to their generosity, we Members are able to find like minded people who enjoy Cycling and other activities. It also encourages everyone from those new to cycling to seasoned enthusiasts to
“meet-up” and enjoy riding together.

Previously Paul and Patrick have never asked us to share in the costs of their administration of the Meetup groups and Facebook site. They have always donated their time for our benefit.

Here are my ideas:

Become an Event Host by creating a Ride.
Create regular weekly Rides on the same day and time like our friends Harry C. and Grenda W. do now.
Last but NOT least, if you can, send Paul a Dollar or Two, or Five once a year to help them defray their ongoing costs which greatly contributes to our FUN. I’m not very techie but I sent them a donation using Zelle. There’s also: PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, etc.
