August's Book: We Will Be Jaguars by Nemonte Nenquimo & Mitch Anderson. Nemonte tells her story of growing up in the Ecuadorian rain forest in the mid 1980's. Oil companies were interested in the land that her people and surrounding indigenous tribes inhabited. This is an important story on many levels. The audio version is phenomenal, particularly for pronunciation of names and the memoir's tone. The book is also avaialble in Spanish.

Read, Ride, Repeat: We meet once a month (or so) to ride then relax at a cafe or restaurant and discuss the book. We then pick the next book and route. You're welcome to join us for the ride if you don't read the book. Life happens, ride anyway.

The Safety Stuff:
Be prepared with water, snacks & a spare tube/flat kit. The summer months are particularly hot. Please bring extra fluids and your favorite electrolytes.
You must wear a helmet and exhibit safe riding.
Cyclists are subject to the same traffic laws as drivers.

Ride at your own risk: By joining, you acknowledge that you're unconditionally accepting full personal responsibility for all associated risks to yourself and your property.
