Christy’s Thirsty Oktoberfest Ride, slow, short, fun, and in costume

I love to bike and I love to socialize, and i even don’t mind dressing in costume occasionally. This event is all three, mostly socialization, with a little cycling thrown in, and costumes encouraged but technically optional. It’s like an all afternoon pub crawl, just with some cycling and murals and sightseeing between stops. And these days, every stop has non-alcoholic drinks, which is important, because MeetUp doesn’t allow alcohol as part of our events.

5-8 miles of a loop, if past Christy’s Thirsty Rides are anything to go by, with three or four stops for food and drink along the way. Last ride i did with them included not just drink specials, but free pizza, too! Who knows what specials Christy has arranged for this ride? Well, okay, Christy does, but i don't.

Bring your non-bicycle-owning friends too, because bikes are available for rent. We ride in a herd, and we don’t go fast, and although we may not take the most direct route between stops because of sightseeing, it’s not far between stops either.
