A favorite of the Tampa Bay Cycling and Facebook group; An easy ride Starting at John Chestnut Sr. Park on Eastlake Drive and ending at Starkey Market for refreshments and water. Approximately 32.2 miles. A shorter ride is possible if we meet at Brooker Creek Preserve then it reduces the ride by 8 +/- miles.

We will do a swing through Brooker Creek Preserve otherwise, where we most always see wildlife such as turtles, deer and wild turkeys. 99% trail riding. We will discuss as a group, at the Market, if everyone wishes to add a few more miles and travel to the Park(approximately +4 miles), and also if anyone wants to add the really nice extension from the wooded trail at the back of the Park to the Suncoast Trail, which adds another 14 miles, round trip.

Lots of flexibility and if those riders wish to turn around at the Market, and we have a volunteer to lead the group back, then this is possible. Speeds will be 13 to 15 mph, and with great opportunities to do faster sprints if desired as this trail offers long stretches without stops, especially in the back of the Starkey Park section. If we have enough experienced riders signing up, we may be able to offer a slower speed sub group. Helmet and water required as well as other safety items.

Ensure your bike is in good working order and your tires are fully inflated the night before. I will have a pump if needed. Most bike shops charge a very reasonable price for an inspection, and adjustments are usually free and part of the initial price. Reserve a spot with them in advance.
