Hyde Park’s First Friday Bayshore Blvd Stroll

Details
Here comes our very first First Friday event at Hyde Park!
This event will include a clever way on how to see Bayshore Blvd, which is the longest continuous sidewalk in the world, as well as diving into Hyde Park Village in the same night.
We’ll go for a stroll on Bayshore Blvd to see a nice sunset and then grab some ice cream while hanging out at Hyde Park Village.
Here’s the itinerary:
- Meet at Aids Memorial Park at 8pm. Depart at 8:15pmish. Sunsets at 8:30pmish.
- Aids Memorial to Bayshore & Rome intersection (1.5 miles - 30 min)
- Intersection to Hyde Park (0.5 miles - 12 minutes)
- Have everyone hang for about an hourish at Hyde Park Village Fountain and get ice cream at The Hyppo or at Old Fellows
- Hop on Swann Ave then transition back onto Bayshore to Aids (1.2 miles - 27 minutes)
Total round trip is about 3.2 miles (1 hour, 9 minutes) which will include breaks in between so make sure you feel comfortable taking on this challenge and dress appropriately!
See you there!
I would try avoiding Downtown Tampa for that night if you can since they got the Brew Fest going on and there will be lots of traffic I’m sure.
Swing around from the UT side.
You can park at the Convention Center or in the little lot at the Bayshore Trailhead which is next to the port.
Be smart about parking in the neighborhoods.
