Family Open Make Day

Details
At our Family Open Make (FOM) days, kids of all ages and their families will have access to our space, project kits, materials, and hand tools to create, explore, and learn!
Kids, tweens, teens, and parents are welcome to bring their own projects or work with ours. Our Young Maker Zone is stocked with craft supplies, electronics, snap circuits / Little Bits, computer programming, Lego, sewing & textiles, games, 2D & 3D CAD design, equipment for "deconstruction" (taking things apart to see what's inside), and more.
There is no charge for this all-ages experience and it is open to the public. A nominal fee may apply for (optional) special project supplies.
Although we welcome families of all shapes & sizes, please be aware that Tampa Hackerspace is an active workshop! Young children must be closely supervised at all times.
Minors (under 18 years old) should be accompanied by an adult — this is NOT a drop-off activity — and we ask that adults be accompanied by a youth participant. Our Tuesday evening Open Makes are more appropriate for unaccompanied adults.
We use many consumable materials in our Family Open Make program, and we rely on donations from members and visitors to keep our #Young Maker Zone shelves stocked. Cash donations are always gratefully accepted. Look for the donation jar when you get here or donate online: https://tampahackerspace.square.site/#bVDZhY
