Looking for a fun and creative way to give back to your community? Look no further than this woodshop volunteer opportunity! We're excited to celebrate our makerspace's 10-year anniversary by building a Doctor Who TARDIS, and we need your help to make it happen. As a volunteer in our woodshop, you'll have the opportunity to learn about flat pack construction techniques and pocket hole joinery to build the TARDIS. You'll also have fun making a mess with prop painting and other finishing touches. Of course, you'll also have a great time working alongside other members who share your passion for making and creating.

To participate in this volunteer opportunity, you'll need to be a paying member of Tampa Hackerspace who has completed the Basic Woodshop Safety class. Please remember to wear closed-toe shoes; feel free to bring your own safety glasses, but we can also provide them if needed. While the meetup is scheduled from 8-2, we don't expect you to stay the entire time. (A couple hours is great!) So, whether you're an experienced woodworker, cosplayer, set maker, or a complete novice, we'd love to have you join us in the woodshop.
