Robotics/Electronics: Create Your Own Catbot Combat Robot!

Details
Members: $65
Non-Members: $80
Create your own catbot! This small, radio-controlled vehicle is a combat robot safe to operate outside an enclosure. The catbot's lifting arm has the power to lift objects or to fling its own body around in a surprising way. After you assemble the catbot, you will take it home along with the radio transmitter (controller). The class includes all materials for building your own bot. Some experience with basic soldering is required for this build.
The member price is for paying members of Tampa Hackerspace. Information on becoming a paid member can be found on our website at membership.
You can prepay for the class at our Square Marketplace at Catbot Kitbot.
Payment is expected within 24 hours of your RSVP. If anyone hasn't paid by then, they may be shifted from the confirmed list without notice to make room for other students. Do not pay if you are waitlisted. Pay only if you are on the confirmed list.
If you've been moved from the confirmed list, we couldn't match a payment through Square for the class to your meetup account. If this is in error, please message [info@tampahackerspace.com](mailto:info@tampahackerspace.com) with your meetup handle and email address. If you haven't yet paid, please do so at the link above and we'll move you back to the active list.
ATTENDANCE POLICY: As with all of our classes, the following attendance policy is in effect. By signing up for this class, you are acknowledging this agreement.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the instructor.
Instructor: Bradley L'Herrou competes in combat robotics around the state of Florida with his team, Liberal Arts Engineering. His bot CHONK was invited to the Robot Combat League National Championship as one of the top 32 bots in the USA at its weightclass.
