Workday - Make a Better Space!

This day will be dedicated to addressing outstanding tasks that we've been putting off. Here's a glimpse of what's on the agenda:

Exterior:

• Caulk any openings in cinderblock walls or around windows/doors
• Repaint Parking Striping

4931 General:

• Organize Kitchen and Fridge to clear out any expired food.
• Label circuit breakers (and possibly outlets)
• Rearrange Wire/cable rack
• Clean/Label/Clear out under tables
• Make Corner kitchen shelves
• Sort Coffee machines/kettles, reduce to 1 or 2 plus a spare (including 4935)
• Organize Office supplies cabinet, make list of what needs to be ordered/restocked.

Laser:

• Sort out scrap material into types (wood, Acrylic, etc) and dispose of small bits that are not useful.

4933 General:

• Consolidate/sort bins with Bins in machine shop area
• Review shelf contents, label Green press for Maker Faire

Sewing:

• Create Ribbon rack / Install on wall

4935:
General:

• Test Big vinyl cutter, get drivers and instructions added to existing
• Check timer on heater for press

Woodshop

• Build a dedicated spot next to each lathe to hang a full face shield
• Set up a dedicated stand for the longer handled tools to be used at the large lathe
• Move the shelf holding the large lathe attachments, like the live centers, to the left of the tools

3D Printing

• Use up spools with small remainders for quick handout prints for Maker Faire (rulers, bookmarks, etc.)

Large Classroom

• Test, setup game monitor table in box

Monthly Standing tasks

• Replace Air filters
• Re-stock dust masks/PPE
• Replace Laser filter material

Depending on our progress, we may tackle more tasks from our extensive backlog. It's worth noting that none of the items on this list require specialized skills or tools beyond what we already have.

We'll be providing lunch, most likely pizza or wings, depending on preferences.
