Teach The World To Sew Day

On Saturday, September 19, from 1–4 PM, join us as we take part in SINGER’s Teach the World to Sew Day, a celebration encouraging people everywhere to discover the joy of sewing. This year’s featured project is a simple sunglass case — a perfect first project for learning to sew.
Never sewn before? That’s exactly what this event is for! We’ll begin with an introduction to using a sewing machine and cover some basic sewing skills. Then we’ll get to the fun part — sewing your own sunglass case to take home.

We’ll provide everything you need — completely FREE!
If you have your own sewing tools, feel free to bring them, but you don’t need to own anything to participate.
This class is open to all ages and to both Tampa Hackerspace members and nonmembers. Beginners are especially welcome.
Come learn a new skill, make something with your own hands, and join the worldwide celebration of Teach the World to Sew Day!
