Hog Hunting School
Okeechobee Shooting Sports, 7055 NE 48th St, Okeechobee, FL, USWith a Day of Training and Preparation followed by a Day of Hunting, our Hog Hunting School is the Perfect Way to get your First Wild Boar!
This Special Event is designed to allow New and Experienced Shooters to experience the thrill of a real Wild Boar Hunt, while maximizing their chances of Taking Home the Bacon in a Safe, Fun, and Humane Way.
Day One - 9:30am start at the Range
Classroom Instruction on Firearm Set-Up, Ammunition Selection, Best Practices, Where to Hunt and How to Find Wild Boar in FloridaFollowed by On-Range Instruction on Stalking, Shooting from Improvised Positions, Shooting Moving Targets, Shooting while Moving, and Snap Shooting.
Day Two - at Private Hunting Reserve Wild Boar Hunt with Professional Guide. Participants will hunt from Tree Stand, Stalk Hunt or hunt from a Buggy depending on the conditions. This will be a True Florida Wild Boar Hunt on some of the most beautiful unspoiled private land you will ever see. Participants are not guaranteed a hog kill. This is not a caged hunt, but a real HUNT on real open land with a real professional guide. Don't worry, though, the hogs are bountiful and some are trophy-sized!

A $250 Deposit is required at the time of booking and will be charged to the card entered at registration. The course fee balance will be due to the instructor at the start of class, cash or credit. This deposit is refundable with the exception of the following fees:
$25 Administrative Fee for any schedule changes or cancellations (regardless of cause)
$250 Late Cancellation Fee for changes or cancellations made within 30 days of class.
$800 No Show Fee for cancellations received within 14 days of class and no shows.Lodging will be provided in Cabins with Double-Occupancy Bedrooms at the Private Hunting Reserve with all meals on-site.

AK Operators Advanced Defensive Carbine Course
Okeechobee Shooting Sports, 7055 NE 48th St, Okeechobee, FL, USCourse Brief: This course is designed to introduce the shooter - old, new and moderately experienced- to the AK-47, AK-74 and Galil type firearms. This is a full one day AK Operator Course that immerses the student into reality based training and covers AK specific protocols. Topics covered will include Equipment Selection and Options, Rifle and Sling Set-Up, Safety, Grip, Stance, Loading / Unloading,Correct Zeroing, Mechanical Offset, Recoil Control, Speed vs. Accuracy, Movement and Malfunction Drills.

Skills and Requirements Needed Coming Into this Class:
- Must be comfortable with chosen firearm while shooting in a traditional static range environment.
- Must be familiar with basic manipulation and use, cleaning and breakdown of chosen firearm. Students who do not understand how their firearm functions and how to clear basic malfunctions are not prepared for this class.
- Must have shot at least 1000 rounds through the rifle you will be using prior to this class (500 rounds of which must be within last 12 months).
- Must be familiar and competent with your chosen rifle and using consistent fundamentals at a level of unconscious competency.
- Must demonstrate a firm understanding of and respect for basic firearm safety rules and range etiquette. - Must be able to stand and walk for extend periods of time. This class has a physical difficulty level of moderate. Students should be capable of getting into and out of kneeling, sitting and prone positions numerous times throughout the day.
- Must have a valid concealed weapons license and present it to the instructor upon check-in. If you do not have a valid Concealed Weapon License from a US State, let us know at booking and we will provide directions on how to provide a background check in lieu of this requirement. Background check reports must be received no later than 3 business days prior to the class.This is an ADVANCED class. Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and demonstrate the required minimum skills listed above, will be removed from training.

Advanced Concealed Carry Class
Okeechobee Shooting Sports, NE 48th St, Okeechobee, FL, US## Advanced Concealed Carry (ACC)
Course Brief: This 4 Hour class covers the realities of drawing and using your pistol in a self-defense confrontation. It is designed for proficient and experienced handgun shooters comfortable with static range shooting. This is not for newer shooters or those with limited handgun experience. It is not a target shooting class, it’s learning to use your firearm in a realistic way to fight for your life and specifically addresses Concealed Carry issues. This is designed for current Concealed Carry License holders who would like to hone their personal protection skills for real-life situations.

Skills and Requirements Needed Coming Into this Class:
- Must be comfortable shooting on your own in a traditional static range environment.
- Must have shot at least 750 rounds within last 12 months through the gun you will be using prior to this class.
- Must understand how your gun functions and be able to load, unload, show clear. Students who need help with loading or unloading their firearm (or magazine) or struggle with understanding and handling basic malfunctions are not prepared for this class.
- Must be familiar and competent with your chosen handgun and using consistent fundamentals at a level of Unconscious Competency.
- For semi-automatic handguns, must be able to pull the slide back and lock it open (back) and clear a malfunction (jam).
- Must demonstrate a firm understanding of and respect for basic firearm safety rules and range etiquette.
- Must possess the mental and emotional fortitude to handle the stress of shooting in close proximity to other people. You will be working from a holster, shooting and moving NEXT to other shooters without barriers between you.
- Must have a valid concealed weapons license and present it to the instructor upon check-in. If you do not have a valid Concealed Weapon License from a US State, let us know at booking and we will provide directions on how to provide a background check in lieu of this requirement. Background check reports must be received no later than 3 business days prior to the class.
