The unique sport of Underwater Hockey originated in the United Kingdom in 1954 and is now played in over 40 countries around the world. The U.S. has over 50 clubs, in 24 states, who play and compete regularly.
This limited-contact sport typically involves 2 teams of 6, competing to move a 3 pound puck across the bottom of a pool into the opposing team's goal. The puck is designed to avoid damaging the pool bottom and walls. The goals are 3m (10ft) wide and sit at both ends of the pool.
Wearing snorkeling gear, players submerge briefly to move the puck or support their team. The sport focuses on pre-determined strategy & collaboration since talking underwater is pretty difficult!
Not only does Underwater Hockey help keep your heart and lungs healthy, but it improves hand-eye coordination, athleticism, endurance, stamina, and flexibility. This sport is excellent for people that want to become more comfortable in the water while enjoying a fun, challenging, team bonding activity.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. We will teach you how to play! Bring your friends and learn something new! Just $10 for admission per player.
