Volunteer Assignments: Volunteers will be assigned to the varying needs of the moment throughout the day - these include preparing the courts for matches, working at registration, assisting at player lunch and dinner, and taking photographs.

Dress Code: Attire is athletic attire. Please ensure you are wearing closed toe athletic shoes. No jeans. This weekend will be warm and sunny, with highs in the 80s and 90s. Please wear sunscreen and hats/sunglasses, etc.

Directions & Parking: The tennis tournament is at the Avila Golf and Country Club located at: 943 Guisando de Avila, Tampa FL 33613. When you arrive, you'll need to go to the guest entrance at the gate, and give them your name and ID. Then, proceed through the gate and stay straight on Avila Blvd until you come to a stop sign (Guisando de Avila is the cross street). Proceed straight through the stop sign and park in the parking lot on the left. The tennis courts are to the left of the stop sign, on Guisando de Avila.

Please check in with an Academy Prep staff member upon your arrival. Lead staff members are:

• Saturday PM: Roxane Leary (1:30p-5:45p) and Jenna Dufficy (4:30pm-End)

We’re Back! The 29th Annual Avila Charity Tennis Tournament (“ACTT”) will be held March 24-26, 2023 at Avila Golf & Country Club. Thanks to our generous supporters, the 2022 ACTT presented a check for $175,000 to the Academy Prep Center of Tampa and we are so excited to support them again on March 24-26, 2023! The Academy Prep Center of Tampa’s mission is to inspire and empower students qualifying for need-based scholarships to become tomorrow’s leaders through a rigorous middle school program coupled with ongoing graduate support.
This tournament, one of the premier tennis events in the area, has raised and donated over one million dollars to local charities that focus on children. With your help, we look forward to growing and continuously contributing to our community.
