Restore Oyster Reefs at Philippe Park's Living Shorelines

Come help build a reef, protecting our coasts and fostering marine biodiversity.
Volunteers will pass buckets of recycled oyster shells into the water offshore of Philippe Park to create an oyster reef. Oyster reefs reduce the erosion of the shoreline, improve water quality, and create aquatic habitats.
Minimum age: 14 and up
Timing: 9am - 12pm
You will get into the water. Wear CLOSED-TOE SHOES and swimwear/clothes that you are comfortable getting wet and dirty.
