Details
At Trinity Cafe we serve our guests a nutritious hot sit-down hot meal. Volunteers will assume the role of restaurant “wait staff” including serving tables, bussing tables, hosting tables, and other restaurant tasks. A handful of volunteers may be assigned to assist in the outdoor drive-thru distribution.
If you have not previously done so, please fill out the waiver prior to your shift (Should take no more than 30 seconds): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScCicLueXmq4WAFS4nYbre4Ga3FTlKY9YF118OLJLvrjEpThA/viewform
- Minimum age: The minimum age to volunteer at Trinity Cafe is 16 years old even with adult supervision.
- Attire: In consideration of your safety, volunteers MUST wear flat, closed-toe shoes. You should also avoid wearing tank tops; sleeveless or short-cut shirts (crop tops); and short-shorts. If these guidelines are not followed, volunteers will be asked to reschedule their shift.
- We will have beverages and the necessary PPE available to you during your time with us.
- Parking: Turn into the parking lot from Nebraska Ave. and park in any available space. The "volunteer entrance" to the cafe is at the back of the building labelled with a purple "volunteer entrance" sign. Enter the double doors next to the generator; this takes you directly into the kitchen. You will be directed to the dining room. If our main parking lot is full (please do not double park), you may park across the street at the Family Dollar Store providing you do NOT use the parking lot in front of the entrance; you may park in the further eight spots back.
- Arrival time: Please arrive no earlier than 8:00am and no later than 8:30am for breakfast. The Volunteer Captain will check you in, make assignments, and conduct orientation prior to service.
