Hyde Park Pumpkin Patch Benefiting The Humane Society of Tampa Bay
Details
Volunteers will help people shop for and purchase pumpkins, restock them so that they look nice, and take pictures of the families in the photo spot. Look for the Pumpkin Patch set up in the center area by the fountain.
All funds will be donated to Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
We look forward to having you come out to volunteer at the Hyde Park Village Pumpkin Patch at 1602 W. Swann Avenue. Look for the Pumpkin Patch set up in the center area by the fountain.
Here are some logistics for you so that everyone knows what to expect:
- Parking - You can park for free in any of the 3 parking garages at Hyde Park Village or have an Uber drop you off right in the middle by the patch.
- Attire – You will be outside, so wear comfortable clothing. Shorts are suggested as long as they are not super short. This is a family-friendly event with a lot of children. There is a large tent to provide shade, but you may want to bring sunscreen as well.
- Please bring water. You are also welcome to bring a snack if you like.
- Checking People out for their purchase: You will see instructions for the iPad and receive the cashbox from the security person when you arrive. Please be sure to keep a close eye on both, and be sure that the iPad is not in direct sunlight, as it can overheat, and then it will shut down. The Square reader should be easy to use and automatically pair with the iPad. If it does not pair and you are having trouble, please text Lisa at 813-625-3475. The iPad, Square Reader, and cash should all be given to the security person and signed in for safekeeping.
- If anyone in your group is under the age of 18, they must have a parent sign a Volunteer Release Form and bring the signed form with them to volunteer. Let Lisa know if you need that form.
