Halloween Party at Bakas Equestrian Center – Horses For Handicapped
Details
Volunteers help with a wide range of duties at Bakas when classes are in session. Volunteers assist staff with grooming and tacking horses, setting up and breaking down the arena, assisting staff with activities and games during classes, sidewalking with riders for support or assistance, and untacking and cooling horses for turn-out.
Bakas' mission is to provide therapeutic horseback riding activities for children and adults afflicted with disabilities across a wide spectrum of physical and mental handicaps. Horseback riding activities include recreational riding, lessons, camps, Special Olympics, riding events, and challenge shows. We also provide networking, support, and social group settings with the goal of further improving the quality of life for our riders.
This is their annual Halloween Party for disabled children.
