# Handbags & Happy Hour

The Annual Handbags & Happy Hour event illustrates the magic of giving. Conversations are flowing as hundreds of women gather together to purchase gently used handbags and to support the families served by The Spring of Tampa Bay.
All proceeds from this silent auction will go back to survivors of domestic violence just like Courtney and her children. Click here to hear her story.

Volunteer Details

Approximately 600 people will be attending this event, so they really need help from our Tampa Volunteers!

  1. How to Dress: This is a cocktail style event, so volunteers are asked to wear a nice dress or a black top that is business casual. Dressier jeans are OK too. Please wear comfortable shoes, as we will be on our feet for much of this event.
  2. Pre-Registration: To help streamline the assignment of roles and to give us the opportunity to bid on auction items, they would like us to pre-register using this link: The Spring of Tampa Bay Auction Link.
  3. Where to Park: · Park in either Winners Way, Lucky Street (closest to the event) or Orient Garages.
    · Take elevators to the second floor of the casino
    · Take the spiral escalator down to the Elvis Piano
    · Follow overhead directional signage to the Event Center/ Pool
  4. 5:00 Volunteer Check-In and Briefing: Once in the Event Center, go to the volunteer check-in table located on the left right after you get off the escalator. We will be briefed on the specifics for the event and assigned roles.
  5. 5:30 Greeters and Registration: We'll greet and help guide people to the event center. We'll also help them check in and give them silent auction info, wristbands, etc.
  6. 7:00 Check-out and Breakdown: We help people check out and get their winning auction items. After people leave, we'll collect pens, programs, picture frames, etc.
  7. 9:00 End of volunteer shift

The event is a lot of fun with amazing items that volunteers can also bid on. We'll have breaks and can enjoy some of the hand passed lite bites too. What's more, we're supporting an inspiring mission and helping so many women in our community while spreading domestic violence awareness.

We hope to see you there!
