The Crystal Gala is a special evening that helps support cancer patients across Florida through the programs and services of the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation. It's an elegant evening filled with light and shimmer ✨in a celebration of hope and healing where participants join for dinner, cocktails, live and silent auctions and special guests.

The Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that helps individuals with their essential living expenses while they undergo treatment for cancer. Cancer patients are able to receive assistance from the Foundation for their non-medical bills, such as overdue rent, mortgage, utility bills and car payments. This financial assistance immediately impacts cancer patients and their families in communities throughout Florida, allowing them to focus on their recovery.

What we get to do
They will assign us to the following based on the biggest need

• Greeter
• Registration
• Silent Auction Monitor
• Live Auction Spotter
• Checkout Assistance
• Cleanup Crew

What to wear and expectations

• Please wear black pants, a black shirt and close-toed shoes. They will provide us with a volunteer event T-shirt when we arrive.
• NO alcohol during the event.
• Dinner will be provided during the event (approx. 7:30), and volunteers will be able to take breaks throughout the evening as needed in a designated room.

If you'd like to bring someone with you that isn't part of this meetup group, please add them as a 'guest' when you RSVP. Note that the organization requires all volunteers to be at least 16 years old.
