FREE Kids' Summer Ukulele Boot Camp@Safety Harbor Public Library

Safety Harbor Public Library is hosting its first ever FREE TBUS 5-day summer boot camp for kids! Limited to 25 students, all must be age 7 and up.

3-4:30pm, June 8-12

Registration is required. Please RSVP here and by emailing **emilys.jamalong@gmail.com** with the subject line: Safety Harbor Kids' Ukulele. The email should include this information:

• Name and age of Children
• Contact info for parent including a phone number

Parents will receive an email for their signature acknowledging that their child will receive a take-home ukulele during "boot camp" and that the ukulele will be returned on the last day, Friday, June 12 in good condition or replaced for a $50-100 fee based on the replacement value of the ukulele.

Per library rules, children age 10 and younger must be accompanied by a parent during the sessions. The boot camp consists of four teaching days followed on Friday with a short public concert and reception for the players, parents and friends.

Teachers are Nickie McNichols, Karen Van Vliet, Emily Stehle and Mike Stehle.

The Boot Camp: Kids will learn about the different ukulele sizes, the parts of the instrument. They will learn how to hold, tune, strum and play chords. They will learn to play songs on the ukulele and sing.

Loaner ukes will be provided and children can take them home for practice with a written sign out by parents (during registration and by the first class day).
