Ukulele Beginners Course - 3 Weekly Sessions- Seminole Rec Center

Tuesday evenings …. Bring your uke, a strap, & tuner if you have them and join us March 17, March 24, and March 31.
Week 1: We will introduce the ukulele, how to hold it, tune it, strum basic chords, and play a few simple songs. Daily practice plan will be assigned.
Week 2: we will review last week, learn notes of C scale, how to read tabs, ukulele maintenance, more chords, and cover movement strategies. We will learn more strum patterns and play more songs.
Week 3: we will review past weeks, address individual issues, learn about area uke groups, learn how to evaluate the quality of a uke before purchase, learn more chords, sing more songs, and introduce online free resources available.
Important—> Each week builds on the week before, so if you cannot make all three classes, please don’t miss the first one….we hope to repeat workshops quarterly if there is continued interest in the community.

Also, these 3 week sessions are free to adult Seminole Residents and $5.00 (one fee includes all 3 classes) for Non-residents.
