Hello fellow Ukers,
My name is Miles Swenson. I am a college student in Tampa and i love playing ukulele. Its a very strong passion of mine. I take my ukulele everywhere i go and people always enjoy hearing me play. At least up until yesterday. You see, on Nov. 17th, i was doing my own thing, walking through the International Plaza jamming away like a i usually always do, and then suddenly was stopped by security. "This is private property. You are disturbing the piece!" Is all he could say to me. I couldn't believe what i was hearing. I wasn't doing anything wrong, and if anything i feel like i was BRINGING peace. And i'm sure everyone else felt the same way.
So then, a manager of a kiosk close by overheard the confrontation and decided to put in his 2 cents. He was very stern and loud but made his point clear, that i was not and never has disturbed anyone at the mall. Of all the 2 years i've been just casually going to the mall and playing ukulele, i never thought something like this would happen. Two more security officers and the mall manager heard the argument on the radio and they came to kick me out. There was a lot of yelling and arguing. Just to make a long story short, I was banned from the mall for 365 days and was cited for trespassing and disturbing the peace.
I don't know if anyone has any legal advice for me, but i want to take this somewhere. I don't want to just let this slide, this isn't right.

Maybe a surprise flash ukulele mob is in order? haha just kidding.
