TDevs - Meet & Greet @ Armatureworks [with Tampa20s and 30s groups]

Hey everyone! We are back at Armature Works! Come join us for some drinks at AW Bar or Stones Throw, or grab some food at one of the many stalls and join us for a chat! If you are new to the area or have been here a while come out and meet new people!

This event will once again be in collaboration with the Tampa New in Town 20s/30s:

https://www.meetup.com/tampanewintown/events/pffpwsyfcdbfc/

## About Armature Works
Armature works is an old streetcar warehouse renovated into a hub featuring many different food venues and bars. It's a great place to relax and meet new people.

Across the north side of the street there are also several restaurants as well, so come hungry and try some new foods!

The north terminal of the Tampa Riverwalk starts here!

## Meeting Spot
We will be OUTSIDE on the green lawn near the chess/checker courts so as not to incur the wrath of security. If we have inclement weather we will head inside but be further away from the doors.

## Parking
There is free side street parking north / east of Armature Works, which should mostly be available on a Wednesday.

If you need to pay for parking I believe it's $5, possibly $10.

TDevs - Algorithms and Scaling @ [TBA Venue]

Embarc Collective

Chris Bloom is doing a talk!

Notes so far:

```
I'm a Sr Software Engineer at GitHub working on software supply chain security. I live in Sarasota with my family of 6 and our backyard chickens.
I'd like to give a talk on simulated annealing, an algorithm for finding approximate solutions to optimization problems. I gave a version of this talk at RubyConf 2022 in Houston, and I have some ideas for improving it that I'd love to try out with local devs. It's a 30 minute talk that could be extended if necessary. In the first half of the talk I introduce optimization problems, demonstrate their scaling issues, and discuss why we may need to settle for an approximate solution to one and what that means. Then in the second half I introduce simulated annealing, discuss its roots, and show how we can use it to solve complex optimization problems. The code examples I use are in Ruby, but this topic is generally applicable to all programming languages and a wide variety of problems.
```

TDevs - Personal Finance and Real Estate 101 @ [TBA Venue]

Embarc Collective

Hey y'all!

We're hosting a non-traditional topic that most of us end up learning later on in life. This is how to handle your personal finances, how to manage your money long term. And as a seperare topic, everything you should know about buying property if you've never done it before.

These topics do get a lot of flak because it always ends up being a sales pitch. We're going to do our best job in ensuring it is not, and providing you tools and resources that are widely available on the web. Important things that everyone should know in regards to personal finance and real estate, from a software developer's perspective.

We will continue to regular tech talk scheduling after this

If you want to attend remotely, we'll post a zoom link in the comments around start of the talk

6:00 - 6:30 pm: networking
6:30 - 7:00pm: intro slides + quickz game
7:00 - 7:30 pm: lightning talks, 5-10 minute talks anyone can come speak
